In Loving Tribute Of
Fleet Captain AnnMarie Reilly

1962-2005

To My Fellow Marines of the 769th MSG & the 715th MEU,

When I served my time in the USMC. I remember our instructors telling us during graduation that today we are marines and part of a brotherhood. An eternal brotherhood / family that can never be breached by war, by anger, by miles, or even by death. I like to believe that this same belief stands within the SFMC. At times when I watch the pettiness going on, it makes me wonder. But this isn’t about that. This is about paying tribute to one of our own.

Today, we have lost Brigadier Ann Marie Reilly of the 715th MEU. She served as an honorary member of the 769th MSG and as the Chief Medical Officer of the USS Avenger and the USS Hathor. She had dedicated her time to STARFLEET International and her family. This officer has served the SFMC with honor, dignity, and the respect of the 4th Battalion and 7th Brigade.

As being the former OIC of the 769th and the 4BN / 7BDE, I am truly saddened. Brigadier Ann Marie Reilly has been a personal and dear friend to me. We may have had our differences and hell we have had our battles. But all in all, she has been a has truly touched my soul. I am saddened by her departure. My heart breaks for her family at this time. All I can do now is remember the good times we have had. Many in which were personal.

I ask of you now to close your eyes in silent prayer for our fallen marine. I ask of you fellow marines to honor her with the pride of the brotherhood / sisterhood. She has earned that right and respect as a member within our select division.

May the light of our God shine upon you and guide you Ann Marie… As one former USMC marine & one present SFMC marine… With a tear in my eye, I bow my head and raise my sword in your honor…

Semper Fi…
