Well I don't know how to say this, so I'm just going to go ahead and say it. I'm moving to Kentucky. That's it, That's that. Its been swell, but the swelling's gone down. Its time for a transfer, a change of venue, this sleeper must awaken.

As many of you know I have been having tremendous job difficulty of late and the universe has been generally against me. This is not why I am going. I am not "forced" into going, as opportunities have arisen here that make it extremely easy to spend another 6 months here without too much fretting. But I've known for well over a year now that I needed to move on. I've always wanted it to be on my terms though, and now, this is being achieved. The past year or two has been great though. Its given me a chance to know you, my family, the Avenger, soak up some local flavor, get some sun and cement bonds that will continue for a lifetime.

Still, the old wanderlust has been acting up and its time to mosey. I see myself sort of like a technomage with a major in cultural dynamics. I've got alot to share with folks outside the fold, so I need to leave the fold and pursue that.

What does this mean for *this* crew. It means you won't be seeing me at meetings anymore... unless on the rare occasion, I show up out of the blue. This can happen quite easily I think, given the proper circumstances. I'll keep doing the Award Winning Avenger Website from afar as I will still be wired (bigger, better, faster... and with a home LAN)... I'll still be on IRC, and I'll still be answering da emails, playing Kings Of Chaos (and still returning the 8million gp favor vs Carlos ;) and I'll still be on all the lists I'm presently on as well as serving as Chief Of Recreation.

I will also be writing two very important stories in Avenger Fiction circa 2300ish, and Lourdes will be staying aboard and not transferring off.

I will not however be able to take over the local MSG 2nd in command post offered to me. So, takers are welcome... see Tony. I will also be unable to come over and hang on a regular basis with local personnel, and will not be able to run things off at the last moment before a meeting... not that I did before ;) I may still be in attendance at some events however, so stay tuned for that.

So, now that I'm going, what are my plans. Well, I plan to keep most of those shrouded in mystery, save to say that a communications company in Kentucky might be enjoying my services, and I will be laying the ground work with soon to be transferring personnel from avenger (IE-Ricky Bruckman) to setup a ship in the louisville area, ASSUMING (Big Assumption here as we're still trying to contact the right people involved) that there are no objections by the USS Questar, and Various Regional Staffs and CO's. If we are allowed to do something along these lines, I look forward to the intership fiction and interaction at events ;)

And that's pretty much it from here this minute. I'm reminded of a quote from Dune, "Without change, something inside of us sleeps and seldom awakens. The Sleeper Must Awaken." And I think she has ;) So in the not so distant future kids, you may "Expect Me, When You See Me".

PS- I usually don't ask about such things, but rather than potentially miss a good opportunity for a party, we should all get together and definitely do something before then end of August... (hint) (hint) ;)
