Thanksgiving & Things Shaping Up

Greetings Crew and Readers ;)

Well it seems that we have a diverse readership and I couldn't be happier. Someone from the U.S. Navy Vessel, USS Avenger, in fact mailed us to say that they found us on a search and they loved the site ;) So, very well done there to staff and participants that make this site fun to visit and read :)

Now, onto the rest of the Dog and Pony show ;)

Thanksgiving went well this year for me, despite initial misgivings of being so far away from all of you up there. The Festivities for Thanksgiving just rounded up about 5pm for me today, as one of the Hathor crew, Suzanne, threw her Thanksgiving soire' last night and much fun was had. I arrived late, as per fashionable protocol and had alot of turkey (courtesy the ham and turkey crossbreeders of Indiana) and mashed potatoes (courtesy KFC) and a yummy dessert that Suzanne made special for the occasion (after she finished cooking said Turkey earlier in the day).

Earlier in the week I was visited by the Turkey fairy in the personage of Joan and Ricky and they brought us a great plate of food and a very nice pie to which Amy was made extremely happy. Interestingly enough, after this, in a show of Turkey Fairy kindess, with a twist, another Hathor Member, Jessi, locked herself out of her house and made a few hour layover here with us that night, and she also brought Turkey from a party she had just attended with family. However she brought none of the extra pies she mentioned, and this lamented, but forgivable ;)

I was also happ yot send and receive notes and missives and phone calls with some folks from Jersey about the Holiday and the like, and I am very happy to have all the warm and fuzzies that ensued. Special Thanks to Kat, Steve, Alex and Tony :)

Today was spent mostly waking up from a very late night, last, and proceeding to the Clarksville Peddler's Market and Flea Market (ahem... Dirt Mall ;) Much fun ensued, however Suzanne could not justify purchasing a complete atari2600 with two joysticks and an rf converter... to which she was quite annoyed (damn monetary system!) and to which she had to leave behind.

Aside from that, its snowed lightly twice in the last few days and... I got socks and gloves at the Wallmart last night cheap and so my feet are toasty and my fingers are where they should be (On the keyboard silly ;) )
