Shelving...Christmas... Other Stuff
Heya Kids! Your cheerful Webdiva here, doing
okay I guess it seems, as I wait on baited breath to see if I get the
job I interviewed for today (see: main page of the site silly ;) ) Currently
I don't know whether or not I got it, but the interview went quite well
and will be a great Xmas present for the next 6-12weeks ;)
Aside from this, I am otherwise seemingly intact... perhaps with more
assets than the last time I spoke at you... biophysically speaking at
any rate ;)
Anyway... went out today, did the interview thing, then hit Subway for
lunch and they have this really weird thing in the Subway's down here...
Romano's Pizza (or some such company obviously trying to compete with
the Taco Hut and Pizza Bell franchises ;) ). So I was in a good mood and
decided to give these breadstick's at this place a try while I waited
on my sub (Meatball Parm) to be completed. And I gotta say, these people
have no idea how to make a breadstick! It seems somewhat edible, but a
definite aquired taste seems to be required to eat them and enjoy doing
so. I don't have this aquired attribute.
Lets see... what else is going on? Well Xmas is just around the corner
and I really need this job. Assuming I get it, then people get things
other than my blessing or, in Steve's case, another year of life past
2016 ;) If I don't, I hope you all understand that I love you much, but
I'm keeping the actual cash and putting it towards food and utils because
at this moment I am technically done at Suncoast unless they need me for
a spare hour here or there.
Lessee... Ummm.... My brain's swiss cheesed... really.
Hormones
Doing well there, see afore mentioned assets vaguery in this article.
If I can make anything more vague or slightly clear, let me know ;)
Webcomics
I've been actually quite pleased with alot of em lately. Real
Life Comics, never fails to deliver something fresh and interesting
and damn amusing, even when faced with the ominous attractive force of
Final Fantasy XI. Kudos Greg! Or Whatchamacallit's or Baby Ruth's or whatever
ya like to snack on ya sick twisted pretzel ;)
Megatokyo
however, is umm... Gods I don't even know anymore. Trying to follow it
is like trying to catch a bus at 2 miles per hour... meaning that its
real easy to catch it and get on, but you're assured you're going somewhere
at 2 miles an hour. So we will continue tuning in on that, but every week
or two instead of every other day. Don't get me wrong, I have great respect
for Piro and his work, I just wish it was regular... ah well, I shouldn't
be bitching... after all, are my posts here regular?
One comic I'm really happy about right now though is Venus
Envy. Its done by a woman by the name of Erin Lindsey and this chapter
of her comic is dealing with some serious formative and "My life
is so screwed up" issues of a Transgendered girl. 'Course, the comic
centers around a teenage t-girl named Zoe', and how she's coping with
discovering herself, dealing with family, school and a soccer team...
and friends and a play ;) Its become a must read for moi and if you have
a spare mome and you're so inclined to get a POV on transsexualism from
this venue, then I advise a look. Its pretty on the level and a good read
ta boot ;)
Stubborness
Rather than letting my level 22 Adventurer, Shaalis, go around being weak
and ineffectual, or worse, deleting her, Shaalis went through some toughening
this past week and a half on Anarchy
Online (Rubi-ka, Dimension2 Rimmor). At level 33 now, She's kicking
Ascii and taking names. And, making bee-lines for the head as the screencap
clearly shows somewhere in the sidebar to the left ;)
Seriously though, I took the "Not Dead Yet" approach with her,
and whipped her ascii back into place and she's now a joy to take out
into the desert to get y'all screen caps of really cool places (wait until
I have my AO tour guide finished ;) I suppose I should use this approach
to my life and I will enjoy similiar results.... hmmm... hope I got some
phoenix downs left ;) In the meantime, keep happy double plus good thoughts
coming to me about this job and we shall see ;)
Okay, that's it, I'm obviously way too hopped up on the caffeine and leftover
pizza to be writing anything coherently legible right now. Hmm.. wonder
if SG1 is on?
