Shopping and Above Board Fabulousness
Good Evening Crews!
Its Sunday night, and barring Hammon Organ Recital Night, I had a blast
this weekend! Of course, if logic serves, You are still in the having
of a great weekend, by way of the Avenger Meeting which should, be at
either Panera or the Omega, and winding down soon... in about an hour
or so. If history is any kind of guide.
Day One, Saturday
This weekend for me has consisted of a great sleep in till 11:45am On
Saturday, followed by a loooong shower from 12:45-130p and then had we
whisking off to Suzanne's place, slightly behind schedule for a 2:00pm
Shopping trip, courtesy Suzanne ala Belated Christmas:)
So, On arrival Suzanne was still getting ready after having spent the
night over at Chris and Jesi's and having only arrived at 1 to start getting
ready. Which was fine for me, because this was makeup time, and it afforded
me the opportunity to do my makeup before going out as I hadn't been able
to prior due to time constrainsts. Anyhoo, Suzanne, I, Chris and Jesi
took up and went out to the Greentree mall and the first stop on our shopping
tour, Sears!
Yes, Sears... because there were some solid coloured mandarin, quasi-business/evening
attired tops. So, upping the style meter and gaining significant approval
via my peers here, we made off with 3 of em, and they are soooooooooo
gorgeous :)
So we went further on to Lane Bryant, and Suzanne found a red tank that
at 70% off redlines came about to 4 or 7 bucks! Additionally, we both
picked up carbon clone Black blouses, that will be perfect alone or together
in a variety of combinations ;) Good choice Suzanne! (And we matched like
the Bobsy Twins), and then on our way down to Babbages (or was it Elbo?)
we dropped into 'The Avenue' and found a killer top for Suzanne, Black
and lacy with support that makes this the winfall of the trip me thinks
;)
Moving on down the way, we stopped at Waldenbooks for the latest Petshop
Of Horrors Manga (Vol. 4) and took a tour through Suncoast without actually
buying anything there, despite numerous things that caught our eyes.
Still onward and not even to the halfway point of this uni-level mall,
we dropped into Payless, because I needed some flats. And when we got
there, Jesi spied with her elven eyes, the most beautiful pair of oriental
brocade mules that it has ever been my pleasure to own :) So noting the
buy two pair get one free, Suzanne got a pair of awesome black boots,
and I got my flats and the lovely mules, pictures to be forthcoming, or
on the right side bar if I get industrious tonight.
A few store browsings later, we decided that we were fashionably laden...
or laden with fashion, and that all this shopping had made us quite famished,
so we adjourned to the local China Buffet where acceptable Chinese food,
the best damn potato skins, and banana pudding are always on the menu
:) After a yummy two hours and an overexuberant 11 year old local in blue
camouflage and an eye for Suzanne later, we left and Chris & Jesi
had to go home.... and we were off, under cover of darkness, for more
shopping at Wallmart!
Sooooo after a little more shopping at Wallmart for sheets, pillows, Champagne
and Sangria and other assorteds, I got slightly annoyed because they were
out of Cover Girl's Perfect Point Plus eyeliner in Charcoal (GRRRR). But
I quickly perked up again after some dew purchasing and a quick accusation
of mine being the both the Angel and The Devil on Suzanne's shoulder where
shopping is concerned :)
The night ended fairly quickly returning in the OMG cold night via an
alternate route due to a traffic accident cleanup right in front of Suzanne
and Tess's place. We got back, got warm, did the Fashion Show for Tess,
and cracked open the champagne and Sangria, and toasted an awesome day
goodbye...falling asleep watching Hackers and Forever Knight Disc 1.
Day Two, Sunday
Day Two has been spent mostly in Hathor Hair Dye Camp! Two Feria Dye Jobs
in red, and a crime-scene cleanup later, we were stylin' watching the
rest of Forever Knight Disc 1, Pump Up The Volume, and half of Fight Club.
I had a great time, got a manicure and pedicure done by Suzanne (cuticles
all fixed;) and Had a really relaxed breakfast with the Red Baron and
his breakfast pizza's (kept impromptu frozen in the mailbox outside all
night).
And Then Suzanne's parents phoned up and we cut the day short as I had
to get home anyway to help out with some alterations to the living room
(turning it into Amy's bedroom.)
Tommorrow and time during the week permitting, I'm gonna clean up the
kitchen somethin fierce before Tony's arrival and we're gonna figure a
place to put the Air mattress for Tony, probably in Ben's room, or if
I get enough done in my room during the week, then I might have space
to throw it in here. But, we shall see.
So, as you can see, I've had a pretty full weekend that just basically
rocked :) Thanks Suzanne! Special shouts out to Tess, and Chris and Jesi
:) Now, Avenger folk, what did you get up to on Sunday? Someone dish!
;)
