Work, Work, Kill Jedi, Work, Work...
Good Evening Crews!
I'm still somewhat hipdeep in KoToR and loving it. Today I went out to
the store, picked up some essentials and found out that the Kinko's in
the area may be looking to take on some folks. I'm looking into it, so
keep your fingers crossed.
In the meantime, we at Hathor HQ have been having a problem with our broadband
tonight and as a resut, I can't seem to log directly into the mailserver
for Avenger.org... this means that its a slight pain in the ass and I
gotta go through yahoo to get anything. Hopefully though, this will sort
itself out soon. At least the Ftp and Web functions have returned relatively
unscathed.
Weight Loss
Currently I am happy to report that post Ambassadorial visit from your
Chief Of Operations and mine, Tony Lopes, the weight gained (10 pounds
or thereabouts from all the partying) is nearly gone and we're happily
heading lower. This means that blothes now fit like they should again
and I am much the happier for it. I enjoyed Tony's visit immensely, but
I think we both probably over-indulged on the local foodstuffs. Ah well...
no permanent damage done ;)
Hospital Visits
I'm happy to hear that both Ann Marie and Tony have returned home from
the hospital and are recovering. Tony is recovering from a middle ear
infection and sore throat (see the Ops Blog for details) and Ann Marie,
well I'll let her inform us as to the details as I only have spotty information
at best. Suffice to say, I think we are all glad to have them in recovery.
Hormonals
Well I think I've hit a turning point with Premarin (Conjugated Estrogen).
At this point, the cleavage is noticeable, and defining further by the
day, but that's not the turning point I mentioned... The turning point
is that finally, my sex drive has returned! Not usually a subject I go
into in too much detail, but its worth a mention because for the past
two months or so its been roughly non-existent. I assumed there'd be side
effects from HRT and this was one of them as the body got used to the
new chemical soup... that and I was sick as a dog from any virus that
remotely passed within 50miles because of the dip in immunity factor (also
an HRT initial side-effect). So things are slowly but surely working out
in the HRT department and I couldn't be happier with that at the moment.
Farpoint
Not making it to Farpoint this year ( I rarely do), but a contingent from
the Hathor will be. Ricky and Joanie to be precise. Have fun guys, we'll
miss ya at the meeting on Sunday! And a merry "Have fun and don't
forget to pack that shovel", to all other Farpoint attendees this
year :)
Hathor Details
Presently we're gearing up for a new meeting at a new location (trying
to see if this is a better fit). It should be a blast as usual, but now
we can rock out without having to deal with library considerations...
(not that we have a problem with that at all, but for example, the smokers
of the group don't have to head outside for what has been affectionately
termed, a 'Smoky Treat'.) I'm still kinda sketchy on what to do about
dinner there, but I'm sure we'll figure something out. Additionally, I'd
just like to make proud mention that, As of this date, we have NINE Starfleet
signed members on the ship and about 4 others not yet signed... (but it'll
happen soon enough I'm told).
And that's bout it for this time round. I have to go and send an email
to another prospective Hathor member on the new venue before I forget
again ;) And if I'm feeling entirely intrepid and coherent, I may just
sit down and pen off a response to a dusty letter from Debbie that has
been learing at me from under my pile o mail I really need to get to!
:) Alright, Niters all.
