Well here we are at Article # 40. Rants and informative mixes, some things dealing with gaming and some things dealing with hardware and shopping and all things that are quite cool. And now we've come to a new waypoint, and things are-a-changing.

You have likely already noticed the colour schema change here and the lack of menu options to the left. You might be wondering if I'm in the middle of some new feature that just isn't quite together yet. This would be technically true, but it is a change I am being, well, asked to make on behalf of a compromise that seems to have been reached regarding a complaint lodged against this area of the site by a member of the Avenger. The agreement reading, in part something like;

"Basically, if your page takes on its own unique character, I reckon that
would (in the eyes of the crew, and whomever they feel may be impressionable
while visiting our site) clarify for everyone that this (page) is your domain, as
opposed to being some division of the command structure of the USS Avenger
sci-fi club extroidinaire.... etc."

I personally believe that no-one was under the impression that this page was part of the command structure, this page only being accessible by click on the last option on the navigation about a billion miles from the division area, and having 'Thoughts From The Webdiva' listed in the title, but that's just me. However, in deference to compromise, I have therefore decided to comply, and change the color schema and, as suggested, use the left area here for more links to things of my interest or to my medical condition, being a helpful resource for Pre-Op Transsexual Women, like moi.

Further, I was asked to removed the Avenger banner page overrall from displaying on this area of the site. This cannot be done, because that image is residing on an anchoring point on which the site revolves around on a code level. Think of the top banner as a welded axle in a bike wheel, you can't just switch it out and expect the wheel to support the bike. So, its not going anywhere. Nor do I think it should. It is my opinion that I'm a member of the Avenger. I run the website after, taking it over from the Fillmore's some years ago, and I've been on the Avenger for 10 Years+ and been a Division Chief for a year or two, and been the XO for several years, before taking my present post. I am as much a part of the Avenger as anyone else, and I have just as much right to be heard under the Avenger banner, as any of Avenger's other members. (I have plainly made known that other members are welcome to send things in for posting on the website, and they do get displayed under the Avenger banner as well. For it to be removed for my page alone is, what I consider to be, tantamount to a slap in the face.)

The rest of the particulars are fairly straightforward and will be kept under wraps as you, the reader, have no need to concern yourself with them, but I feel that you do have the right to know why this area of the site is changing, and that's why this post has been made. And because this is a comment rich area of the site, I have included my feelings on all of this.

Let me conclude by saying that much of the CS were behind me and many members have given their support in word and deed. I appreciate all your help and shoulders while dealing with this issue, and hopefully, starting next Article, we'll get back to business pretty much as usual.
