HMO's, Special Projects & Jem-nification! Article 41... A long time has come and gone and its been a busy time to say the least. The moving on of one roommate, the expected arrival of a new one, and many bills and items changing hands. Some days things can get ya down, some things can get you through, but knowing you have people that care about you, and that you care about, makes all the difference. And when you're feeling fabulous, like I
was a few days back, BEHOLD the wonder of walking down memory lane, only
to find that you have not, in point of fact, lost your mind! That, in
fact, some your greatest cartoon memories are now available to behold
once again via the magic of DVD! That's right, Jem and The Holograms are
on DVD! Seasons 1&2 to be precise thanks to our friends at Rhino!
Ah... the fashion, the excitement, the glitter, the pink hair that makes
Gwen Stefani rush right back into her pink phase all over again;) Alot is going on though, quite a bit actually. Which is why I feel so scatterbrained at times. Right now Susanne and I have a webcomic in the making (I help with flow, scripting and scanning...and the occasional prod for strips) and she does the art and scripting. That's a little bit more work than either of us is used to putting in, plus she's got to get used to drawing the same characters over and over and its a bit of a ramp-up, but I think everyone's adjusting. Now if I can only get these 6 strips scanned in and ready for keenspot before another two arrive... ah work is never done. Additionally, There's the Avenger webpage who's events calendar I will likely update on the morrow if I have free time (I'm updating this page so people know what's going on and because I had to do some Jem screencaps tonight anyway), and work on the Hathor website which has sorely been untouched since last we talked... even the blog. I've also got my own art I would like to get back to doing again (hence the image in the upper left of this rant), and the finishing of the Hathor logo, which is nearly there, with colour and everything set. Near lastly, but not leastly, my responsibilities on voting for nominees in the R7 Eleection as C.O. of the Hathor, a duty which, I am happy to say, was dispensed this morning ;) Of course, there's much more on the list;
Tony moving down (surely you've told everyone by now Tony!); My medical
insurance finally becoming effective (if a little screwed up doctor wise);
and Kat and Steve coming for a visit about 6 days or so later from Tony's
arrival. However, I'm sure that, while things will only get more interesting,
things will also be cool. So, the motto for the next month is as old Jack
Burton says, he says "Bring it on... I can take it." |
